Field Portrait

.

Some portraits stay close to the surface.
Others travel deeper.

Field Portraits arise from a more intuitive process.

.

They are not created to reproduce appearance,
but to translate a person’s inner landscape into an image.

They reflect the energy or atmosphere I sensed in a person at a given moment.

.

Sometimes they arise from conversation.
Sometimes from quiet observation.
Sometimes simply from sensing the field that surrounds someone.

The resulting image may include symbolic elements,
abstract forms or atmospheric layers.

The field is often also expressed in colours.

.

Not every encounter becomes a Field Portrait.
But when it does, the image often carries a quality
that continues to unfold over time.

Each Field Portrait arises from a deep moment of shared attention.

Some portraits are sensed before they are seen.
